Building a world where emotional wellbeing grows stronger with every generation

A trusted companion that helps families thrive

Did you know: parenting during the early years has a huge influence on a child’s lifelong mental health? Parents tend to understand they influence their child’s future, yet many of us believe we lack adequate knowledge1, especially when it comes to our children’s social and emotional wellbeing and development.

In a world where a parent’s village features every stranger on the internet, Ren is designed to be a trusted, reliable resource — one that brings clarity to confusion and calm to chaos.  Underpinned by three core values, we provide parents with support and guidance to nurture the emotional wellbeing of their children and themselves, so they can thrive in life:

Evidence

We pride ourselves on offering evidence-based guidance that’s supported by research and grounded in science.

Compassion

We believe in progress, not perfection, and that all parents simply do the best job they know how to do.

Impact

We’re committed to making a difference to the emotional wellbeing of families now and in the future.

Ren: a story of nature and nurture

Our name, Ren, is a nod to Renenutet, an ancient Egyptian goddess. Renenutet was known as a goddess of nourishment and a protector of children and their families. The word Ren is also associated with humanity, goodness and love in the ancient Chinese belief system, Confucianism.

Today, it continues to hold meaning across the globe. In both Mandarin and Cantonese, Ren translates as ‘person’. While in Ireland, it’s known as a gender-neutral name meaning ‘small and strong’.

With universal themes of both nature and nurture, there seemed no more fitting name for a product designed to help families thrive. In ancient Egypt, children were said to have ‘Renenutet on their shoulder from the day they were born’ and in many ways, this is our hope for Ren — to be a guiding resource for children and parents from day one.
